Paris Gallery Franchise - FAQs
Q: Must I have prior experience in operating a retail business, before I can take up the Paris Gallery Area Franchise?
A: We are looking for interested parties with retail experience, particularly in luxury goods. In addition, you should have ready access to good retail locations.
Q: What rights will I be given under the Area Franchise?
A: You will be given the right to open and operate Paris Gallery stores in the territory given to you.
Q: How many Paris Gallery stores can I open?
A: We do not set a limit as different territories will support different number of stores. However, to ensure that the territory is adequately developed, we will draw up a Development Schedule jointly with you. The Development Schedule will spell out the number of Paris Gallery stores you need to open and maintain each year.
Q: What is the size of the territory given to me and is it exclusive?
A: For some countries, we will consider granting territorial rights to one party. For other countries, we may appoint a few Area Franchisees who are confined to operate in smaller territories such as provinces, states, cities, or even clusters of them.
It would be good if you can indicate to us your preferred territory to operate the Franchise in. Your given territory is exclusive to you, meaning only you can open and operate Paris Gallery stores within it.
Q: Must I open and operate all the Paris Gallery stores by myself?
A: Yes. As an Area Developer, you will be required to open and operate the stores by yourself through the Area Franchisee legal entity that you own. No sub-franchise rights will be granted. This is to ensure that you will be able to enjoy attractive and sustainable product margins, be always familiar with ground operations, and exert better control over the quality of the Franchise in your territory.
Q: Can I order only certain stocks that I think are saleable, or suit the taste of the consumers in my proposed territory?
A: Yes, you may order stocks that you think are saleable in your territory, provided that you adhere to the specified product range within each brand or product category as approved by the Franchisor. This is so that every Paris Gallery store worldwide maintains consistency in the quality and standard of merchandise offered. It is therefore of utmost importance that you have an experienced buyer who is able to decipher the customers' demand in your territory to maximize the stock turnover at your stores.
Q: Can I carry other products in the Paris Gallery stores?
A: No. Only approved products are to be stocked, displayed and sold at the Paris Gallery stores. This is to ensure that the Paris Gallery concept is tight and effective.
However, on a case-by-case basis and dependent on the real needs of your territory, we may give approval for you to carry a small amount of local products, subject to certain terms and conditions.
